Application process

Visit website to apply online or download application; call or email for assistance. To find companies near you, visit https://cnm.universalservice.org/ and enter your zip code. It is recommended that individuals apply for the Lifeline program first, and, after qualifying, choose a phone or internet company near them that offers the Lifeline benefit and sign up for service with them. They can also ask their current company (if they have one) to apply their Lifeline benefit to a service that they are already getting (if the company offers the Lifeline benefit).
