Responsible for securing the borders at the Ports of Entry, the places where people may lawfully enter the United States. Screens all people, vehicles, and goods into and out of the country. Enforces immigration law, including narcotics interdiction, and protects the nation's food supply and agriculture industry from pests and diseases. Ports of Entry are located in Douglas, Lukeville, Mesa (Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport), Naco, Nogales, Phoenix (Sky Harbor Airport), San Luis, Sasabe, Scottsdale (Airport), and Tucson (Tucson International Airport).

Works to detect and apprehend those who attempt to enter illegally, including terrorists, or smuggle contraband, including weapons of mass destruction, across the borders. Stations are located in Ajo/Why, Bisbee/Naco, Casa Grande, Douglas, Nogales, Sonoita, Three Points/Robles Junction, Tucson, and Willcox.
