Investigates and issues civil or criminal citations for complaints including inoperable vehicles, excessive weeds, landscaping maintenance, fences in disrepair, signs, trash and debris, graffiti, unsafe structures, and property parking violations.

Accepts complaints and enforces city maintenance codes on private property. Includes complaints about overgrown vegetation, overhanging trees, weeds, debris, junk motor vehicles, excessive storage, general building maintenance, zoning violations, substandard and unsanitary housing conditions (except mold), unsafe, vacant or neglected buildings, illegal peddlers, and illegal signs.

Provides law enforcement services including emergency response throughout the city. Accepts and investigates reports of non-emergency situations. Calls handled include minor traffic problems, burglary and theft reports, loud noise complaints, abandoned vehicles, missing person reports where the missing person is not in imminent danger, etc.
