Social Workers can also provide referrals to community resources for services such as senior assistance, child care, parenting support, child development, citizenship classes, housing/shelter, substance use programs, domestic violence services, legal services, veteran services, GED, and job assistance.

Provides local classes on how to identify and respond to people with signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Includes information on listening, risk factors, and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns; and strategies for helping. Separate classes for English and Spanish, for youth and adults, and for in-person and virtual.

Provides free mental health first aid workshops for the community, with separate classes for adults and adults who work with youth. Also provides lunch and learn presentations to help increase knowledge about mental health issues and to help eliminate the stigma around them.
