Maintains statistics on crime data for the City of Tucson. Website allows search of the database by crime type, date, street, or substation. Also maintains data on traffic accidents organized by street intersections.

Provides shelter for men, women, and families who are homeless. Includes meals, showers, laundry, and case management. Also provides meals and food bags every weekday to people in need. Delivers meals to those who are homebound on a case-by-case basis.

Responsible for assigning street addresses in unincorporated areas of the county; building safety inspections and permitting; flood control services; land use services; planning and zoning; and environmental inspections and permits including for water and sewer lines and extensions, and construction permitting for public and semi-public swimming pools and spas.

Promotes annual, dilated eye exams, and raises awareness about age-related eye disease, including cataracts. Provides referrals to an ophthalmologist for free comprehensive medical eye exams and treatment for any diseases diagnosed at the time of initial visit. Does not provide eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services, or pay the fees of other medical professionals.

Dispatches an ambulance for sick or injured stray animals or animals in distress. Investigates reports of animal cruelty including pets left in hot cars, dogs left outside in poor weather conditions or without food and water, and homes with excessive numbers of pets. Works alongside local law enforcement.

Council is made up of elected officials who administer programs serving members of the Yavapai tribe. Processes applications for tribal membership.
